Every year since i`ve been in Glasgow i eagerly await the return of the Lesser Black-backed Gulls from their wintering grounds in Portugal/North Africa. We are so lucky that from our living room we can see & watch them as they get down to nesting on the roofs of the tennements across from us. We witness every aspect of their breeding season from courtship, mating & nest building...to the emergence of their chicks, which this year was on Sunday but I had to wait till yesterday to capture them on the camera.
