Friday 3rd January

Sunshine & Showers. 9/7/7c. NW3

F&C CANAL (Ruchill St > Clydebank)
This is growing to be one of my favourite walks along the canal and one i hope to make on a weekly basis.
Cormorant 7 (5 River Kelvin)
Grey Heron 6
Mute Swan 8
Pink-footed Goose 60 SW over Westerton
Mallard (pair copulating, Lock 27)
Tufted Duck 25
Goosander 15
Sparrowhawk 1
Fox 1

  1. Great sightings and photos Dean. Would be good to walk regularly and see how wildlife changes throughout the year and seasons. Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

    1. Thank you Caroline. I've walked this stretch of the canal quite a few times and got to know what regular species that can be seen but there's always the odd one or two that i don't see regularly, which makes it that wee bit more interesting.

  2. Well now, I thought you had stopped blogging! Then you turn up on Caroline's blog and I find many posts that I have missed! So that is a good thing in one way because I have lots to read and catch up on, on the other hand, I now have lots to catch up on!
