What a week...

...last week was!!
Nice to have something to blog about now that the weather has settled down after the strong winds & frequent heavy rain.
Anyway, the main highlight was a Great Spotted Woodpecker that came into our back court to feed on the suet balls, yesterday. I managed to grab a record shot thru the kitchen window.

    1. Thank you Caroline. This is the 3rd time the bird has visited to my knowledge and he was back again this morning but it was still darkish.

  3. Isn't is wonderful when a new bird comes to your feeders? The other day I had an 'almost' Goldfinch on mine - the head was almost right but the colours were 'wishy washy' and no markings at the tail end. I saw it again the next day but not since then. Odd - no?

    1. It sure is Toffeeapple. We had a few Long-tailed Tits & a pair of Bullfinch, yesterday.
Interesting about your Goldfinch. It may just have been an aberrant individual. Sometimes plumages aren't what they are in the books.
