HOGGANFIELD LOCH
Didnae decide to venture out to this site till late morning but it was worth it. Highlights ;
Whooper Swan 12 (inc Alloy ringed bird W42453)
Mute Swan (Green TSX & Alloy W35690 still present)
Goldeneye 4
Black-headed Gull (Red 2N90) This is the 4th colour-ringed bird I`ve seen over the last few weeks but I`ve still yet to hear from the relevant ringing project.
Common Buzzard 1
Kingfisher 1

    Love the whoopers! Do you contact the BTO with the ring numbers?

      We do too Peggy. They show no fear at this site.
      I contact the BTO regards the alloy rings but with coloured rings you can contact the ringer direct via the cr-birding website.
