Thursday 10th October

Yet another very unsettled day but i still went out for a wee jaunt, after all you don't find/see much sitting in the house.

F&C CANAL (Ruchill St > Maryhill Locks)
Kingfisher 1
Smooth Newt 1

RIVER KELVIN (Maryhill Locks > Ha'penny Bridge)
Cormorant 4 (on the old bridge supports)
Dipper 1 (flew downriver)
Stigmella sp larval mines (1 on Beech & 1 on Hawthorn)

  1. Goodness, what a lot of interesting sightings. The Sheild Bugs are lovely.

    I had a Green Lacewing in my house yesterday, I tried to put it back outside but it flew and I haven't seen it since.

      I've not seen many Lacewings up here, well nothing like the numbers i used to see back in Yorkshire.
