Lockdown -Week 3

A very productive week for both sightings & photographs. 4 new bird species for the year were seen - Sand Martin, Willow Warbler, Blackcap & Ring-necked Parakeet. Several wildflowers were also new for the year, with a couple close to flowering (something to look forward to for the coming week).
One subject of the following pics is of a dead Roe Deer that I found on the far bank of the canal. Judging by the wound on one of its back legs i suspect it was hit by a car and later died of its injury. I checked on it again this morning and it appears the Foxes have had a good meal...and I`m hoping they leave the head alone as i`d like to add the skull to my collection.

Mute Swans (breeding pair)

I have to venture out tomorrow (Tuesday) to collect Linda`s prescriptions from the pharmacy at the Dr`s, so I`ll be going the scenic route along the canal...and therefore hopefully have something else to see/photograph.

Pre-lockdown

A few pictures from Sunday & Monday.
I know we are advised to stay indoors but i will be combining my allowed "outside" exercise & shopping trip for essentials in one go. So, i`m hoping that i can get a few pics from along the Canal/River Kelvin on my way to Tesco.
All that`s left to say is that i hope all the readers of this blog stay safe during these frightening times.
